Shabby Chic ‘Katy’ Drysink
One of a kind! This shabby chic drysink has been totally refurbished & renewed! It has been painted with a warm ivory chalkpaint, then distressed. Two coats of poly protect the finish for years to come.
The inside of the cabinet has been thoroughly painted as well, to lighten it up. The shelf was then decoupaged with old sheet music, and a couple of vintage bird prints.
The handle hardware is especially unique! We replaced the boring wooden knobs with salvaged horse tack hardware from a local farm. Cute and original! You won’t find another piece like it.
This is actually two separate pieces. The top piece consisting of 3 drawers, back, and surround sits on top of the bottom cabinet. Check out our blog for additional photos, including before, after, and during pictures!
Each shabby rehab is named for a connection to how or where the piece was originally salvaged.
Shabby chic (pronounced: “sheek”) is a form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear or where new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. The hallmarks of current shabby chic trends are upcycled, recycled, & repurposed items that impart a genuine individual style to your home decor. Want more pictures??
