Owners Cal & Holly Moore are avid outdoorsmen with a passion for Lodge Style. They relocated from Ohio to the Rocky Mountains to live an outdoor lifestyle and raise their family close to the wilderness.
Cal had been hiking and camping the backcountry of the US and Canada from a young age. Holly grew up on a lake in the Northwoods of Michigan, sharing a cabin with her parents, a bird dog named Rowdy, and an extensive collection of taxidermy and rustic furnishings. Inspired by all those years surrounded by old Adirondack chairs and stuffed creatures of every shape and size, Cal and Holly set out to amass a stable of artists who could create the most unusual and attractive furniture designs to present in their showroom. They are ever on the lookout for the most fantastical combinations of function and form to capture your imagination. The Mad Moose customers appreciate the “one-of-a-kind” nature of this furniture. They know they will find a true showpiece and surefire conversation starter to express their individuality. But furniture isn’t all The Mad Moose is known for! They are called “The Mountain Outfitter for Your Home” because they make an effort to provide much of what you need to live the rustic cabin lifestyle.
From antlers to aspen, and oil lamps to puzzles and games; this store offers a “one stop shopping” experience to outfit your whole home! The Mad Moose retains a small-town, mom & pop quality of service that is hard to come by these days. The owners and employees will take the time to make sure your purchase is just what you are looking for. They also welcome special orders! Many of the artisans will work with you to create the perfect piece to fit your design specs and size requirements.
“There is a connection with nature that we feel when we take a walk in the woods and a burning desire to bring that feeling back with us into our homes. This is what drives our passion to hunt for amazing pieces to share with our customers. I want to be able to really ‘wow you’ with nature’s elegance!” – Holly Moore.
